Signature Program

Braids & Bordeaux

Braids & Bordeaux is Parenting Culture’s signature program for father engagement, built on the belief that dads deserve hands-on tools and a supportive community to build caregiving confidence.

What began as one afternoon of braiding and bonding at Nouveau Provisions has grown into a recurring experience where girl dads learn practical hair care skills, connect with other parents, and leave with a kit they can use at home. A portion of every ticket supports culturally responsive parenting resources and family mental health work.

Past attendees describe it as a space of solidarity and community, and the photos, video, and testimonials from previous events show why. We welcome sponsors and in-kind donors who want to help us grow this program and reach more families.
